報告人簡介：教授，1961年獲得劍橋大學心理學博士學位，1961年-1970年先后在M.I.T，Harvard大學工作，1970年至今任普林斯頓大學心理學系教授。主要從事視覺感知的大腦結構和視覺學習，關注顳下回皮層在物體表示、盲點和成人神經再生中的作用，發表了200多篇研究論文和著作，成果顯著，1996年當選為巴西科學院外籍院士，1998年當選為美國科學院院士，1999年當選為美國藝術和科學院研究員，2005年獲得美國心理協會杰出科學貢獻獎。

報告簡介：Today the study of the neuroscience of the processing of the facial image is a major developmental theoretical and practical enterprise. This lecture will trace this subject from the origins over one hundred years ago and concentrate on the speaker’s own research of face recognition on the single neuron and human neuropsychological studies.
